J2 Studio has been the proud and gracious recipient of several ADDY awards in every year we have submitted an entry. The ADDY awards are presented by industry peers for outstanding work within the creative profession. Be it print advertising, web design, television advertising or brochures design and more.
Our very first ADDY award came in 2003. We had designed a tractor trailer graphic for our then client RPS Recreational Products. This vehicle used to travel the country to paintball tournaments and events and literally served as a moving billboard for RPS. It was a great challenge and we were proud to receive a Gold ADDY for this effort.

Our Next ADDY award in the same year was actually for the same client. Paintball has become more than a weekend fad. This game has gone global! Teams vie for contention with the ferocity of professional hockey and football players. With that in mind, we designed a competition jersey for one of RPS’ products called RPS Advantage. A superior paintball for all weather conditions and situations. The jersey was a huge hit at all tournaments and helped bring sales above and beyond what was expected.

Another ADDY we were presented with was. again, for RPS Recreational Products. As we were involved with the complete re-design of the company brand, including packaging, labels, logos, etc., we had an awful lot of fun with the task at hand. Every product package or label we designed, was in our biased opinion, worthy of ADDY awards in packaging. Lo and behold we caught the eyes of some of the judges with the newest paintball package we designed. A great looking piece on any store shelf makes for a great looking ADDY award in our office!

The next 2 ADDY awards we received were based along the same lines of our first few. What they have in common was the complete redesign of the company brand and subsequent collateral, identity, web site etc. In this particular case we took home 2 Silver ADDYs for the Emergency Products + Research presentation kit containing a product catalog, price list, product brochures, cover letter, business card and interactive CD.
The sales kit actually contained the stationery system that won a silver ADDY as well. Needless to say we were extremely excited about our awards. But it also served as a wonderful presentation to the clients we had designed the wining pieces for.

We had not submitted entries in 2005 nd 2007 for various reasons. We have a lot going on and we hope to back in the realm next year. |
